2022 (22)Ford Transit Custom 2.0 300 EcoBlue Limited Panel Van 5dr Diesel Manual L1 H1 Euro 6 (s/s) (130

Few vans have earned the respect and loyalty of British businesses quite like the Ford Transit Custom. Consistently among the UK's best-selling commercial vehicles, it has become the benchmark against which rivals are judged. In Limited trim with the 130PS 2.0-litre EcoBlue diesel engine, it's easy to see why. The Transit Custom strikes an impressive balance between workhorse durability and everyday usability. While many panel vans focus solely on carrying capacity, Ford has developed a vehicle that genuinely feels enjoyable to drive, without compromising the practical qualities that commercial users demand. Power comes from Ford's 2.0-litre EcoBlue diesel engine producing 130PS and a healthy 385Nm of torque. Paired with a six-speed manual gearbox, it delivers strong, flexible performance that suits both urban deliveries and long motorway journeys. The engine pulls confidently from low revs, making it easy to carry heavy loads without constantly working through the gears. Refinement is also noteworthy, with relatively low levels of vibration and engine noise compared with many competitors. The real standout feature, however, is the way the Transit Custom drives. Ford's expertise in chassis tuning shines through from the moment you get behind the wheel. Steering is precise, body control is excellent, and the suspension strikes an ideal compromise between comfort and stability. Whether navigating narrow city streets or covering hundreds of motorway miles, the Transit Custom feels composed and reassuring. For many drivers transitioning from a passenger car, it remains one of the easiest vans to adapt to. The Limited specification adds a welcome layer of comfort and equipment. The cabin is well designed, with a dashboard layout that prioritises functionality without feeling overly utilitarian. Heated seats, air conditioning, alloy wheels, front and rear parking sensors, a heated windscreen and Ford's SYNC infotainment system help create a more premium experience than many rivals offer at this level.
Storage solutions are plentiful throughout the cabin, while the driving position is excellent, providing clear visibility and all-day comfort. The seats offer good support during long shifts, and the overall ergonomics have clearly been designed with professional drivers in mind. Running costs are another strong point. The Euro 6-compliant EcoBlue diesel engine offers impressive fuel economy when driven sensibly, and Ford's extensive dealer network means servicing and maintenance support are never far away. Residual values also remain among the strongest in the segment, helping to reduce overall ownership costs. The 2022 Ford Transit Custom 300 Limited continues to set the standard for medium vans. Comfortable, capable and remarkably car-like to drive, it remains one of the most complete commercial vehicles available and a benchmark that competitors still struggle to match.
